The National Tourism Organization of Montenegro (NTOCG), in cooperation with the airline FlyDubai, the Embassy of Montenegro in the UAE, and tourism industry representatives, organized a webinar on June 11, 2025, for travel agents from the United Arab Emirates market.
The webinar aimed to introduce agents to Montenegro’s tourism offer, in the context of the Dubai–Tivat–Dubai route, on which FlyDubai will operate four flights per week from June 4 to September 6, 2025.
“In line with the current promotional campaign, the webinar titled ‘Montenegro’s Call for Adventure – Uncover Your Wild Side’ provided an opportunity to showcase Montenegro’s advantages as a tourist destination, its main attractions, cultural heritage, exceptional nature, luxury hotels, and travel packages focused on family holidays,” NTOCG announced.
At the invitation of FlyDubai, the webinar, presented in the form of an online presentation, was attended by nearly 100 travel agents from the UAE who had the chance to learn more about Montenegro’s potential as an attractive holiday destination.
The presentation was opened by representatives of FlyDubai, who introduced the airline and detailed its flight schedule to Montenegro—operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays using their Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
The webinar continued with an overview of the tourism offer, presented by Aleksandra Maksimović, Director of the Montenegrin Convention Bureau within NTOCG. Isidora Dabović from the Embassy of Montenegro in the UAE provided details on the current visa regime for UAE nationals and residents traveling to Montenegro.
Additionally, certified members of the Montenegrin Convention Bureau, including agencies and representatives of luxury hotels, had the opportunity to showcase their offers and propose potential itineraries for family vacations.
Jeyhun Efendi, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations and E-commerce at FlyDubai, emphasized that the airline first launched flights to Tivat in November 2017. Since then, he noted, there has been consistent demand from UAE travelers, and Tivat has become a very popular seasonal summer destination due to its scenic landscapes and diverse leisure options.
“This summer, Tivat is served with four weekly flights, offering travelers from Dubai, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia a comfortable and convenient journey to the destination. We look forward to further stimulating interest in travel to this city and enabling more people to explore the Montenegrin coast—not just from the UAE, but also from India, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore. Since our founding, we’ve been committed to expanding our network, opening under-served destinations, and enabling the free flow of goods and tourism. Today, we fly to more than 135 destinations in 58 countries and have connected Dubai with 35 destinations across Europe, including Tivat in Montenegro,” Efendi said.
Dr. Ana Tripković Marković, Director of the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro, highlighted the importance of direct air connections for boosting tourism from the Middle East.
“The Middle East is one of the most important non-European markets for Montenegro, and the direct flight from Dubai is a key link in enhancing destination awareness and attracting tourists from this region. We are particularly pleased by the strong interest shown by UAE agents during the webinar, which clearly shows that they recognize Montenegro’s potential as a luxurious, dynamic, authentic, and increasingly attractive destination for this target group. We believe that the efforts invested will significantly contribute to a greater number of tourists from the UAE and strengthen economic and cultural ties between the two countries. NTOCG will continue to cooperate with FlyDubai in promoting our country as a destination offering a unique experience and high-quality service,” the NTOCG director concluded.
NTOCG also announced that it will continue promotional activities in the Middle Eastern market, aiming to further increase tourist arrivals and position Montenegro as an attractive destination for travelers from this region.
