Slovenian Minister of Finance Uros Čufer and Governor of the Bank of Slovenia Bostjan Jazbec ending visit to Washington in autumn session of the IMF and the World Bank today. Jazbec announced continuation of debt in next year, the question is how much and at what price . This confirmed Čufer and said that the Government is considering about new borrowing in first quarter of next year.
Čufer consider that position of Slovenia is much better today than in April when spring meeting of the IMF and World Bank is held.
Investors, who were especially interested in political stability of Slovenia, were given an insight into what government considers as main challenges .
– The first step is to repair banking system and discharge of companies . It is important to prepare legal basis that will help after bank cleaning to companies to normally work . The second theme is political stability . Are we going to be unique enough to implement all necessary measures, reveals Čufer .
Čufer concludes that investors have better opinion on Slovenia than Slovenian media .
