Macedonian-Polish business forum: Intensifying economic cooperation

The intensification of the overall economic cooperation must be done announced  today Macedonian and Polish President at  Business Forum held in Skopje during his official visit to the country.

President Ivanov stressed that Poland is an important trading partner of the Republic of Macedonia in 2012 it was on the list of 20 countries that have achieved the highest volume of trade. But in the first six months of 2013 Poland was no longer belongs to the group of major trading partners of Macedonia.

Commercial cooperation between Polish and Macedonian companies exist, given the growth in the share of total trade between Macedonia and Poland to the structure of the total trade of the country with the world this year. Also a rise in the share of imports from Poland in Macedonia in the structure of total world imports of the country. However, Ivanov stressed the need to redouble efforts on institutions and chambers of both countries in order to provide additional conditions to promote trade relations.

Polish President Komoroski addressing the Macedonian and Polish businessmen and said that although the two countries have no open issues should be intensified political cooperation and strengthen business cooperation.

Komoroski also stressed that Macedonia supports the European integration process and share that experience with pre-ground, and especially to adjust the legislation.

Polish President business delegation arrived with the biggest Polish companies from multiple industries: metallurgy, defense, construction, food processing and manufacturing of furniture, which were part of the forum.

The Macedonian-Polish business forum held between Macedonian and Polish companies during which Macedonian companies were able to make significant contacts with Polish companies and thereby start a successful business operation.

Business forum was organized by the Agency for Foreign Investments and Export Promotion of the Republic of Macedonia and Ministry of Economy of Poland in cooperation with chambers of commerce.
