Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic said the government is considering the possibility of an introduction of solidarity tax that would pay all public sector employees who have high salaries.
“It would, for example, mean that someone who has a salary of more than 100,000 dinars (875 euros) should set aside for the solidarity tax 10 or 12 percent,” Dacic said, adding that he is not thrilled with the idea, but that they have to save.
The idea of solidarity tax was first proposed by the government of Mirko Cvetkovic at the beginning of the critical 2009year, but the public have not been thrilled with the idea and it was rejected after three days.

The Minister of Economy, Sasa Radulovic a month ago announced tax reforms mentioning extra tax what is, the chances are great, same as the solidarity tax. No later than ten days, the government should come up with a final draft of the tax reform.
