At the end of August in Slovenia were 116.600 of unemployed persons, 543 persons less than in previous month, according to today the Slovenian Employment Agency. However, but yesterday, on the Bureau was reported over a thousand people more, in regard to the last day of August, so it's obvious that it's just a temporary fluctuation, in number of unemployed, related with seasonal work in summer time.
In fact, number of unemployed at the end of August this year was almost a tenth (9.9 percent) higher than in August last year. In the first eight months of this year, on the Bureau was reported, on average 120 151 people, which is for 9.7 percent more than in the first eight months of last year, according to the Employment Bureau. During the period from New Year to the end of August, 67 144 of new unemployed registered, which represent an increase in the amount of 11.5 percent compared to the same period last year.
