With a concert held in the Grand Hall of the Cultural Center in Ulcinj, the first Choir Festival “Sounds from the Waterfront” concluded — an event that brought together choirs from Montenegro and the region, strongly supported by Eagle Hills Montenegro, with a message that it will continue to stand behind cultural initiatives that connect people and cities.

On Sunday evening in Ulcinj, the closing concert of the 1st Choir Festival “Sounds from the Waterfront” took place in the Grand Hall of the Cultural Center. The festival lasted three days, with the theme of this unique event being “Among People of Good Will.”  Four choirs from Montenegro — from Pljevlja, Bar, Nikšić, and Podgorica — participated, along with an international choir from Tirana.

Workshops for conductors and participants were also organized as part of the festival. During these workshops, all members of the visiting choirs, as well as individual singers, formed a festival choir that performed several pieces on Sunday under the baton of renowned conductors Mihajlo Lazarević from Kotor and Bujar Aliu from Tirana.

The organizer and director of this event was Vera Andrović, on behalf of the NGO “Kap kulture,” with Marko Asudžić as the artistic director. The organizers described the festival as a musical magic that transcends borders, with Ulcinj as a place of encounters, dialogue, and song.

The festival was supported by the Ministry of Tourism, the Municipality of Ulcinj, the Ulcinj Tourist Organization, the Music and Ballet School Ulcinj, the Cultural Center, TV Teuta, TVCG, as well as companies Eagle Hills Montenegro, Građa Comerce, Finance Group, Plantaže, Aqua Bjanka, and Kallaba.

After receiving a certificate of appreciation, Ana Martinović, Director of Communications, Marketing, and Institutional Cooperation at Eagle Hills Montenegro, expressed satisfaction that the company supported the 1st International Choir Festival in Ulcinj.

“We hope this event will become a tradition, and we will support every good initiative,” she added.
