The northern region of Montenegro has been unjustly neglected for years despite holding the majority of the country’s natural resources. We welcome the interest of investors who could bring a new wave of development to this area.
This was stated to Bankar.me by the President of the Municipality of Žabljak, Radoš Žugić, in response to a question regarding the announcement of Mohamed Alabbar’s potential arrival in northern Montenegro and whether such an investment could contribute to the valorization of Žabljak’s potential.
“The Municipality of Žabljak is certainly pleased to welcome all investors who are willing to invest their capital in sustainable projects, based on the principles of sustainable development and that do not endanger the environment or protected areas,” Žugić said.
He added that the development of high-end tourism is the future of Žabljak, and that the local government is ready to create the necessary conditions to make that a reality.
