Gross Domestic Product in Kosovo has reached 4 billion and 916 million euros in 2012, with an increase of 2.5 percent compared with the previous year. While per capita gross product has reached 2 thousand 700 euros, 100 euros more than a year ago. These data were published today by officials of Statistical Agency in a press conference.
Gross Domestic Product in Kosovo has increased from year to year. This is indicated by official statistics from 2004 to 2012. Chief Statistical Agency (KSA), Isa Krasniqi said that these statistics are very important for economic and fiscal planning and elaboration of economic development programs for various sectors.
“Gross Domestic Product in Kosovo for 2012 is 4 billion euros and 916 million compared with 2004, increased by over 2 billion euros. BPB per capita for 2012 is 2 721 thousand euros, compared with 2004 increased by 908 euros, “said Krasniqi.

The real growth rate in 2012 was 2.5 percent compared to 2011 and this increase was influenced by several factors, said Ilir Berisha, director of economic statistics and national accounts. “It was influenced by the growth of final consumption expenditure of households by 1.9 percent, increase in exports of goods and services by 0.8 percent and import of goods and services by 7.2 percent,” said Berisha.
