The September inflation rate was 0.3 percent, the same as the month before, the Slovenian Statistical Office (SURS) reported today. The annual inflation rate also reached 1.4 percent. “We assess that the impact of the increased VAT (from 20 to 22, and from 8.5 to 9.5 percent) was 0.1 percentage point,” said Karmen Hren from SURS.
Analysts from Surs presented today the assessment that the Slovenian budget deficit at the end of the year will amount to 1.99 billion euros, or 5.7 percent of gross state product. Gross consolidated debt of Slovenia accordint to same assesment will reach 22 billion euros at the end of year , or 63.1 percent of GDP.
