Geological surveys that RTB conducted since 2009. have shown that in new deposits of copper ore worth more than a billion dollars, and researches in the field next to Knjaževca in the field between Miniceva and Novog Korita could start soon.
“The total value of metal in newly discovered deposits exceeding one billion dollars, which means that studies fully met expectations,” said Head of the Department of Geology of copper mine Bor Trajce Tončić.
He explains that at the beginning of the study in 2009th discovered in Jama the richest ore body “T” which is exploited for less than three years and brought profit of over $ 40 million.
“Then we discovered new two “T1” and “T2″whose exploitation begun this year, and it is about 700,000 tons of ore with an average copper content of 1.7 percent,” said Tončić.

He says that along with it, they researched surface area and discovered bay “Kriveljski stone” with reserves of 75 million tons of copper medium ore of 0.26 percent.
