SLO: A smaller deficit because of higher taxes

Member states of the eurozone should decrease budget  deficit below three percent of GDP by 2015, and  each of the governments has  to decide for themselves what is the best way to achieve this. Prime Minister of Slovenia Alenka Bratušek plans to achieve  this goal by raising taxes and increasing taxes on the property, but this proposal has to be confirmed  by  Slovenian parliament.

The proposed budget expects   inflows in the amount of  8.6 billion euros and outflows in the amount of 9.6 billion euros. Almost total minus in the state treasury will go next year on payment for  interest on the public debt for what will be needed  944 million euros, while this year Slovenia had  to pay “only” 820 million for interests.
