Norwegians will build HPP on the river Bosnia

The project of concession of construction of small hydropower plants on the river Bosnia, which the Government of Srpska had awarded the Norwegian company “Technor Energy” six years ago, could be moved from the dead point finally. The key problem that is in 2011th braked realization of project of estimated value  250 million€ were disputes between majority and minority shareholders of the company “Technor Energy”.

Although there were speculations that deal with Norwegians failed definitely, they have recently solved differences by dividing of obtained six concession locations for the construction of hydropower facilities from Doboj and Modrica.

Based on the agreement reached between minority shareholders’ Technor Energy” they founded firm” Technor Hydro”, which will take over the implementation of three of the six small hydropower (SHP) in Bosnia.

The Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining confirmed that Commission for concession has approved consent, and the RS government approved transfer of concession contract for the construction of HPP Cijevna 1 and Cijevna2 Doboj from “Technor Energy” to “Technor Hydro 2”. Other three concession contracts for MHE Pipe 4 Cijevna Cijevna 5 and Cijevna 6 will implement “Technor Energy”. In company “Technor Energy” said that the decision related to investment in the project, will bring if financiers are satisfied with achieved legal framework with the RS Government about concession agreement.

Earlier,  company “Elektrodoboj” announced that tender for the construction contractor for Cijevna 3 will be announce in early in 2014. Construction works and purchase of equipment funded by loan from the German development Bank KfW in amount of 50 million euro and funds for planning of riverbed Bosnia and construction of facility will provide from its own resources.
