One of the main problems of today is unemployment, with whom as all around the world, are faced citizens of Montenegro. According to data from the Employment Agency, on the record of the Bureau, there are more than 30,000 people, including 8,449 university graduates and seven PhD.
“On the record, the most of the unemployed are economists (1,193, of which 520 women), managers and organizers (946-534 women), lawyers (871-520 women), professor of English language (225-203 women), teacher (221- 199 women) and professor of Serbo-Croatian language (-177 200 women), “said director of the Bureau Vukica Jelic.

“The most commonly employed were economists, because they are majority on the records (231 or 17.15 per cent), than lawyers (163 or 12.1 percent), managers and organizers (103 or 7.64 per cent), professors of Serbo-Croatian language (32 or 2.37 per cent) and teachers of English language, ” Jelic said.
When it comes to unemployment in Montenegro, we are facing with inadequate methodologies and monitoring, so institutions do not have the same data about persons who do not have jobs.
Professor Bozena Jelusic consider that problem of unemployment is difficult and serious.
“The number of university graduates students and unemployment is increasing, which means that there is no development. We are not making any progress. It is not first time that we are talking about non-compliance of our educational system and labor market. It’s not case just in Montenegro. However, for us, it is acute for a small economy and state eith small number of population. It is hard to limit desire, ” Jelusic said.
