In the Aluminium Company Podgorica (KAP) a plan of reorganization through programmed bankruptcy will not be implemented, which was announced as a possibility, but because of the debts that have exceeded 460 million euros , the company will be liquidated.
After the formal declaration of bankruptcy, the property, as we have heard, as a bankruptcy estate, will be sold.
The model was applied last year in Niksic steel mill, which, after the introduction of bankruptcy, was sold to the Turkish Tosyali Group for 15 million euros.
For taking over the KAP’s production without the inherited debts investors from India, Germany, Poland, Turkey, but lately also from Croatia, are interested but so far there are no concrete offer acceptable to the Government.

The reasons for the sale of property through bankrupt, except for the high debts, are the negative trends on the aluminum market which is why there is no to support of any commercial bank.
KAP is the largest exporter and closing of KAP, according to the economists, will have a significant impact on the macroeconomic parameters of the local economy ..
