MILLER: MACEDONIA IS PART OF THE DEVELOPMENT PLANS OF GAZPROM

Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski met with President of the Russian giant Gazprom, Alexei Miller. At the meeting was discussed the current and future cooperation between the two sides and promote its development, the government said. Miller said Gazprom company is interested in cooperation with Macedonia, and the country is included in the development plans of Gazprom, which was pointed Gazprom that despite existing plans and projects manifest interest in the future to consider and other investments in the country, according to a government statement.

Minister and Miller discussed the further realization of the South Stream project and the concrete steps for its operationalization, and it was stated that the ratification of the signed agreement to include Macedonia in the South Stream, will cross to the formation of joint venture between the two parties under the contract which will conduct further steps in the implementation of plans and projects. they concluded that analyzes and projections show that construction of infrastructure for natural gas will significantly increase consumption of natural gas, which is now at a lower level, which will lead to greater consumption of natural gas and can result in lower gas prices. In this regard the Prime Minister informed the President of Gazprom that soon expected to sign a contract with the Russian company Stroytransgaz thus began the construction of infrastructure for natural gas within the country, and thus access to many gas companies and households in the country.
