The computer programs participates in Croatian exports with 1.52 percent, and the Croatian software industry, in the past two years ,has opened 1,307 new working places.

In addition to petroleum products, ships, drugs, transformers, wood, gas, fertilizer, gold, seats and metal waste, Croatia is globally competitive in the production of computer software.
According to the survey, Croatian export of software in 2012 has risen to 1.1 billion kuna which is an increase of 48.9 percent over the last two years. In addition, companies, in that industry doubled its contribution to foreign trade balance, so, they now export 657.3 million kuna more than they import.

The number of employees in the domestic production of software in two years has grown from 8,402 to 9709, and the number of businesses from 2218 to 2306.
