At The Employment Service is 118,240 registered unemployed, today. Although the unemployment rate, at the end of September, compared to August decreased by 1.7 percent to 114,669 unemployed, only two weeks since, the 118 240 unemployed persons registered have been .

One of the main reasons for the rapid growth of unemployment is the loss of status of the student among the young people. In October, unemployment, among young people aged up to 25 years, increased by one-fifth, and nothing will  improve until the end of this year.

However, in the first nine months of this year ,the number of people who  checked out from the Institute because of migration ,doubled. This year ,there were 465 such persons, and last year 246 .The last published unemployment rate in Slovenia was in July , and it was 12.9 percent.
