Slovenia is at the bottom of Europe on the list of global competitiveness

Slovenian Institute of Macroeconomic Analysis (UMAR) noted that most of the value of short-term indicators of economic activity, at the beginning of the second quarter ,was at the same level and that Slovenia is among the least  competitive member states.

“Slovenia is still among the countries which has deteriorated position in the list of global competitiveness  since the crisis”, says Umar.

In July, only export increased, which is the only over the average value in  July in 2008 year. The scope of manufacturing activity decreased after  stagnation in the second quarter.

During this period, Slovenia dropped in the last quarter, among the least competitive states of the European Union.
