In Croatia, at the end of August this year, there was a total of 1,391,774 employees, which is 0.4 percent or 5,681 persons less than at the end of July this year, the National Bureau of Statistics reported (CBS).
The increasing of the number of employees on a monthly basis in August stopped, which is recorded five consecutive months before.
CBS transmits an information about the number of unemployed, which at the end of August, the Croatian Employment Service registered 313,675 or 0.8 percent less than the previous month. This has led to a slight decrease in the rate of registered unemployment, from 18.5 percent in July to 18.4 percent in August.
