Chinese investors , except for the energy sector and road infrastructure are interested in investing in the Serbian car industry , said the vice president of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce ( PKS ) , Rasa Ristivojevic .
The Chinese have strong the car industry and they are interested in remaining capacity of Zastava in Kragujevac and i believe that the truck program for them could be very attractive, said Ristivojevic , who was a member of the delegation which the President of Serbia , Tomislav Nikolic, led last week to visit China.
“The Chinese have a well-developed auto industry , a Serbian delegation visited the factory ” Djili ” known for having bought the Swedish Volvo ,” he said.

Given the fact that so far the Chinese investments were investments of Chinese state firms in Serbian state companies , Ristivojevic said that last visit was “the first in which the Serbian businessmen have organized meetings with Chinese private companies .”
“Forum with Chinese businessmen in Hangdžou , the capital of the Province of Djijang was not credit for investment , and they were asked to choose investments on commercial principles, not only in the field of infrastructure,” he said.
” The interest is high, some members of our government and business delegations have made even some contracts and preliminary contracts ,” said Ristivojevic , but added that it is not realistic to expect the answers during the visit , which lasted three days.
