Leading telecommunications company in Macedonia, Macedonian Telecom announced a fall in profit of 39.5% in the first half compared with the same period last year. Profit now is 17.3 million. Company’s revenues decreased by 9.2% as a result of a smaller number of subscribers by 7.4% compared to the same period last year.
The decrease in the mobile segment is due to a drop in revenues for voice services decreased because of lower subscriber base, and a decline in average revenue per user was about 7%.
“However, even with intense competition in prices, T-Mobile Macedonia has managed to maintain its leading market position of 48.1% of the market share,” the report says the company.
