Months of negotiations were held between the Federal Ministry of Justice and the Chamber of Notaries of Federation BiH and have resulted in the entry into force of the new Tariff on notary fees.
After a number of complaints from citizens addressed the Federal Ministry of Justice because of extremely large amounts of notary services to be paid to public notary, the negotiations on changes of tariffs of notary services started.
In fact, at the initiative of the Federal Minister of Justice Zoran Mikulic, the issue of high costs of notary services has been encountered. In this regard were conducted detailed negotiations with representatives of the Chamber of Notaries of FBiH, first with the previous president of the Notary Chamber Sefedfin Suljević, and after whit it’s the current president Merdžana Škaljić.

Due to the high resistance of representatives of the Chamber of Notaries of FBiH on this initiative, the federal minister of justice in certain moments, meant to promote the specified rate in much lower amounts then suggested from the Chamber of Notaries of FBiH.
To be recalled that the tariff adopts the Federal Ministry of Justice on the proposal of the Notary Chamber. After several months of correspondence positions of the two institutions has been harmonized, and has been made the Tariff of fees and notary fees. In this way, they finally reduced the enormously high costs of notary services and meet the demands of citizens.
