Only 10 companies in Macedonia with revenues more than EUR 100 million

Only 10 companies in Macedonia have income  more than EUR 100 million, according to ranking of the 200 largest companies that is the  part of the series Top 200 largest and most successful in the edition of the magazine Capital.

Total revenues, which reached the 200 largest companies in Macedonia in 2012th amounted to 7.7 billion euros, which is an increase of 5.5% compared to the revenues of these companies from the 2011 year.

The largest company in Macedonia in last couple of years is the oil refinery Okta with revenue of $ 604 million. The second one  is a factory for the production of automotive catalysts Johnson Matthey with revenue of 490 million euros, while the third one  is an energy distributor company EVN with revenue of 418 million euros. Then the fourth one  is a distributor of petroleum Makpetrol with revenue of 402 million euros, and the fifth company  is the state power company ELEM with revenue of 265 million euros in the  2012 year.

Last year’s top ten Macedonian company had 2.94 billion euros  in revenue, which is  38%  of revenue of all top 200 companies.

Three of the 10 largest companies come from the oil industry, and with two companies are represented  Energy and Communications Solutions.

Last year, 167 companies from the top 200 had a  profit of total 516 million euros, while 32 companies worked with a total loss of 117 million euros.
