The total exchange of Macedonia in the first seven months of this year amounted to 6.18 billion U.S. dollars, while the trade deficit reached 1.36 billion dollars.
The majority of trade (49.6%) of trade was with Germany, Greece, Great Britain , Serbia and Italy.
Exports were in the most significant catalysts with precious metal or precious metal compounds as the active substance, iron and steel (rolled products), clothes and petroleum oil. The import most prevalent oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals (other than crude), platinum and platinum alloys, unwrought or in powder, iron and steel (rolled products) and electricity.

During the period January-July 2013 most important trade partners are the EU with 73.3% and the Western Balkans with 17.6%. The most important import partners are also member states of the EU for amount of 61.8%.
